Reed Space is hosting its first ever t-shirt design contest featuring students from the Harlem Children's Zone.
For two weeks, public viewers can

"My design is a plane with the word "flight" inspired by Michael Jordan, using the same lettering on the shirt."

"Hello, My name is Jeffrey Arias. I got my idea from the NYC Condoms campaign which features a power button logo. For my shirt, I designed an off button with the words 'Turn me On.'   I selected the shirt for the contest because a lot of people liked it in school."

"My shirt design is a cross with prayer hands. On one side you have a halo and wings and on the other side you have devil horns and a tail.  Some people blame everything on God, like 'Oh, I fell, God tripped me, or  Oh I won the lotto, God helped me.' No he didn't. God gives us the ultimate choices we make in life. This shirt represents both sides, good and evil."

"I was inspired by the lyrics of one of Cassie's songs. I made them into the shape of a road sign, because some people decide to go on with their lives, and some people decide to think twice before they stop. You never know."

"I was inspired by the Detroit Tigers' logo, but instead of an adult tiger, I drew a cub. Instead of the D for Detroit, it's an R, for Ramona."

"I like rabbits, and I was inspired by Nicki Minaj and Lada Gaga.   My character Debbie doesn't show her eyes because that's part of her mysterious way."

"My logo is a broken heart in shards. I got the inspiration from music and love.  I feel that the sound of 808s and the sound of heartbeats go together like fish in the water.  I think it's a very fluid motion, when you hear music, you feel something. I don't think it caters just towards females, because music, love songs don't just cater to females -- it's gender friendly."
