Jay does it again. As an actual “song”, “Empire State of Mind” is so-so…but somehow, someway, he has created another anthem for the greatest city in the world. Alicia crooning the hook gives me goosebumps each time. Michael Bloomberg should put her payroll cuz she is doing more for the city than he ever has.
