The Cut&Paste Global Championships will be landing in NYC on October 16th at Hammerstein Ballroom! I just signed on to be a judge in the 2D competition! I love doing these…the energy is awesome and the talent I get introduced to is inspiring. By my side at the judge’s panel will be Kevin Lyons (Natural Born/Anomoly), Andrea Rosso (55DSL), Josh Rubin (Coolhunting), Deanne Cheuk & Dust LaRock.
This year’s Cut&Paste Digital Design Tournament has made its way through 16 cities and 256 competitors from February – June 2009. It now culminates in a battle of the best, champions vs. champions, with the final 2009 tournament event: the first-ever Cut&Paste Global Championship.
Showcasing the talents of 48 competition winners in 2D, 3D, and motion design, from the North America, Europe, and Asia/Pacific regions , the championship event will take place at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City on Friday, October 16, 2009.
Arriving with at least one successful competition under their belts, the city champions will take the stage again to quickly create designs against the ticking pressure of the clock and under the watchful eyes of THOUSANDS. And this time, the pride of their countries and hometowns, along with their personal reputations, will be on the line.
Cut&Paste世界チャンピオンシップが１０月１６日にニューヨークのHammerstein Ballroomに上陸します！僕はつい先ほど、２Ｄコンペの審査員をする事が決まりました！こういうのは大好き．．．エネルギーはヤバイし、新しい才能を目の当たりにして、刺激されます。僕と共に審査員のパネルにはKevin Lyons (Natural Born/Anomoly)、Andrea Rosso(55DSL)、Josh Rubin(Coolhunting)、Deanne Cheuk &Dust LaRock。今年のCut&Pasteデジタルデザイントーナメントは２００９年２月から６月の間に、１６都市で２５６人の出場者の間で競われました。そして今、バトルは頂点を目指し、チャンピオン対チャンピオンの２００９年最後のトーナメントが行われます：史上初のCut&Paste世界チャンピオンシップ。
北アメリカ、ヨーロッパ、アジア/太平洋地区から2D、3Dそしてモーションデザインの勝者、４８人がその才能を競い合う為、２００９年１０月１６日にチャンピオンシップイベントがニューヨークのHammerstein Ballroomで行われます。
最低でも一つの競技を優勝した、各都市のチャンピオンたちは刻々と進む時計の針と何千人もの鋭い眼差しのプレッシャーに耐え、すばやくデザインを作り上げなければいけません。そして今回は、それぞれの出身地や国のプライドと自身の名声にかけて競い合います。
