OVM.

One of my favorite artists, James Jean has just launched his jewelry and accessories collection titled OVM. Each piece is hand crafted and stunning. It also helps that Sasha Grey is his muse for the collection. I was lucky enough to be on hand at his studio when this shoot happened. UH-MAZING.

would YOU want your daugher/wife/girlfriend/mother wearing this jewelry? AND explaining to people what it represents?

wearing jewelry that represents getting jizzed on is pretty trashy. fine line between art and porn/trash, huh?

@smokin trees, I think you’re being a little ridiculous. Who goes out of their way to explain the meaning behind their jewelry? And unless you know of Sasha Grey, I don’t think the collection screams come-shot inherently.

As for it being trashy, thats all subjective, sexy for one person is perversion for another. Degradation for one person is empowerment for another.

If I had the money I would buy one of the pieces in a heart-beat.

Turning a action that is commonly perceived as degrading and wearing it as jewelry, with grace and strength. I love the subtlety, the irony, and the sense of humor behind the line.

The concept isn’t for the sexually reserved, or those over-concerned with propriety and femininity as idealized by society. ;-)

Does it say anywhere that’s what the jewelry infers or are you just assuming that because sasha grey has taken many cumshots in her past?

Really don’t think a guy of James’ artistic taste would make an entire jewelry line centered around jizz

@chris, first, because it’ll make more sense. yes, this jewelry isn’t anything new. i read about the artist, shoot, maybe a year ago (?) regarding these specific pieces. yes, he made his jewelry line centered around jizz.

that being said, @amberok, i agree with you. i actually don’t really care. just bringing up the question(s). there is that fine line but it’s all in the beholder. you will have to explain it to someone at some time. the pieces are too weird/cool to not talk about them.

    word :-)

@smokin trees is there any way you could link us to what you read a year ago about these pieces? I’m not asking because of the above disagreement, rather out of curiosity about the jewelry.
