This weekend, Pacific Standard Time is set to Launch across Southern California. Initiated by the Getty museum, it’s an enormous group of exhibitions across more than 60 institutions, celebrating the achievements in SoCal art and design from 1945-1980. Sunday, Oct. 2, more than 25 participants are offering free admission. If you are in the area, or will be, make sure to put this at the top of your list. And if you’re not, stay tuned for more reports. Highlights for me include the entire Eames house living room moving to LACMA‘s design exhibition, and the largest public display of Eames furniture (for sale, no less) at JF Chen.
