This year’s “Gran Turismo Trophy” at Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance went to 1960 Plymouth XNR.
The name XNR is derived from Virgil Exner, the legendary designer who led the golden era of Chrysler between the 1950’s and 1960’s. Exner designed this XNR as the future of sportscars, to go head to head with cars such as Chevrolet Corvette and the Ford Thunderbird.
Pretty impressed that many details of this car are still very futuristic even in today’s standard.
