Infographics have been getting extremely popular and so it comes as no surprise that someone would create a user-generated site to aggregate all the work out there. Today Visual.ly launched their website, touting themselves as the world’s largest community for exploring, sharing, creating, and promoting data visualizations. I’m curious about where the visual.ly team will take this project, since I was not the least bit impressed with the quality of the visualizations they had chosen to put out at launch. From their entire collection, I could only find one graphic that interested me. Still, I think its a great way for people to learn about specific issues and so I’m hoping the projects will continue to get better as more people learn about visual.ly. I’ll be posting more of my favorite data visualizations soon, until then I’m curious to know if you guys found any compelling ones on Visual.ly?
