CHINA, MAN.

Apparently, China has Twitter and YouTube blocked from their interballs. So this of course allows homegrown, Chinese-owned social media companies to flourish—and flourishing they are. Weibo, the Twitter of China has over 100 million users already. The top Weibo user, actress Yao Chen, has 9.6 million followers. If she were using Twitter in America, she would be #3 right between Bieber and Barack!
So I recently signed up for these China based social media sites in case any of you guys out in the motherland want to follow my adventures! Enjoy! (Hat tip to Dan P, D. Wu and Jan Chip for the heads up. And thanks to Kevin Y for the translations…)

Sina Weibo is the most popular Twitter client.

Then there’s QQ Weibo—this would be like if Yahoo! decided to launch their own version of Twitter. I think this is lame that there are 2 platforms already.

Youku is the Chinese equivalent to YouTube.
