WILLIAM EGGLESTON

My morning’s before work are usually spent playing with my baby and watching the Today show. The other day they did a feature on William Eggleston, famous color photographer, unknown to me. What really caught my eye at first was his large collection of Leica cameras (If you don’t know, search ebay for Leica)…

The story then goes on to talk about how he got started and the hate he’s gotten etc. Then finally the one phrase that really touched me was that he allows himself only one click to get the shot. In my head I flashed back to the other day in the park of myself trying to get a good picture of my baby smiling and taking, quite literally hundreds of shots… only to go back to my computer to find “The One”. It’s peaked the interest in me to try the one shot method in the future, at least for a day maybe. Watch the video below and get inspired.
