Obama’s speech during the White House Correspondence Dinner was incredible. His rebuttal to Donald Trump’s accusations of him not being born in America are classic. He really rips into him hard! On the one hand, I love that our president doesn’t just sit back and let people take shots at him. On the other hand, I know doing things like this will get immediate criticism. For example, everyone knows we’re in a huge debt. And making all those little mock videos cost money and people’s time. What message does it send to the world that our president does stuff like this while we’re in an economic deficit?
Anyway, regardless, Mr. Obama had me in tears laughing! What other president mentions Biggie and Tupac in a speech and loops Ol’ Dirty Bastard’s “Baby, I Like It Raw”?! His jab at Fox News and Matt Damon was also classic!
When someone says “All jokes aside, we all know your credentials and breadth of experience…” and the entire room bursts out in laughs…THAT is the ultimate diss.
