Sorry peeps, but I’ve just learned that one of my favorite rappers of 2010, Stalley has been signed on Rick Ross label, Maybach music. Hum. I’m not a huge fan of Richard you know. So you can guess this new makes me nervous. VERY NERVOUS and disappointed.
Hope everything is gonna be okay, for him and for me. Hope the music, the texts and blahblah won’t change.
Am I afraid? uh…

MTV recently asked me to do a quick PSA about the importance of getting yourself tested for STDs. This subject is no joke. I was first introduced to the music of Arthur Russell a few years back by a friend from anticon (thanks Shaun!) He was a cellist, composer, and all around musician well ahead of his time—yet remained relatively unknown until after his death in 1992. I finally just got a copy of a documentary about him, and for those of you unfamiliar, or familiar with him but haven’t seen it, please take some time to.
And this is a nice cover by Jens of Arthur Russell’s “A Little Lost”.
