I’ve been friends with the good people at Epaulet for a while now. I’ve known Mike (the co-owner) since his days at Lomography.
His shop in Brooklyn has been steadily gaining a global presence as the go-to source for menswear. Recently we hosted an Epaulet pop-up shop at Reed Annex…which then fortuitously led to the opening of a permanent Epaulet shop right across the street from Reed Space! We love new neighbors in the LES…
Epaulet has a chinos and denim division called [EP's]. Some of the best made and best fitting pants around…all hand crafted in the USA. So it was only a matter of time before we got together to create something. Here it is! A special edition Epaulet x Staple Rivet Chino.
Working with the classic slim-fitting Rivet Chino, we added a collection of tweaks to make it our own. The changes include rear button flap pockets, a mid-thigh rear utility pocket, a rear belt loop D-ring, and a reinforced cuff. The fabric is an incredibly soft, double-faced brushed cotton twill from Japan. The exterior has the warmth and hand of wool flannel, and the interior is heathered twill in a contrasting tone. Each piece is hand-crafted in Los Angeles and is machine washable. They’re available now exclusively at Reed Space and online. And if you come by the store, make sure you stop by Epaulet across the street to check out their Olive version!

Hey Jeff,
You’re working with Epaulet? That’s really awesome. These pants look amazing.
Incidentally, I’ve been skimming some menswear blogs for a while now and kept seeing that Penfield down jacket and vest. Was really into it and emailed a few friends about it. I thought it was just Penfield till I took a closer look today and saw Stapleton. You’re killing it on these designs man. Just wanted to drop a note of props.
Hope all is well. Though it seems like it is.
Happy Thanksgiving,
Opal/ Derek from back in the day Subculture.
