Well, hello.
My name is Cuisson and my personal goal is to eat only tasty things, always. While enjoying the food right in front of me, I’m thinking about what my next meal will be.
I’m a ‘front of the house’ restaurant professional, focused on service and operations (which is why I need to remain anonymous). So I’m always around amazing food. I follow restaurant & food trends obsessively. But I believe that I always truly enjoy traditional foods with seasonal, local ingredients the most. When I travel, I look for authentic spots to get a real taste of where I am. I also like experimenting with recipes and cooking, when the right ingredients are available.
I’ll be sharing my experiences and explorations as they all relate to eating, whether it is a simple recipe or an extravagant dinner out.
A little back round information on me: I’m a Korean American, born and raised in Los Angeles. I grew up eating in LA K-Town restaurants and my mother’s good ol’ home cooking. Korean food is my ‘comfort’ food.
I’ve been in the restaurant business for 13 years…working for (for the most part) classic French chefs. Ingredients, technique and presentation are all very important to me (hence the name “Cuisson”).
I live in New York City, a food Mecca on this part of the world, and I love it. There are so many wonderful places to eat!
