PAPER, PLASTIC AND PLUSH.

Buffmonster started his empire on the streets in paper.

As my first blog on the Staple site, it’s appropriate that I mention street art. Since it was Faile‘s posters in the windows of the Staple office that attracted me to get an internship at Staple.

Buffmonster who started his empire as a street artist in Los Angeles has branched out into other mediums in recent years.bombingscience

This is his new figure The Destroyer (pre-order 8/16 @theloyalsubjects.com) that has recently been announced. The figure is an incredible 14″ tall and has some crazy antlers. But the Buff guy flying out of its head is truly what has made me reserve a spot in my collection.DESTROYER

Also announced were another set of plush toys (available in various outlets) ready to be placed on your coffee table or placed on your car dash. It’s always a treat to see the transfer of artists art from 2D into 3D especially when it’s done well.plush

Hey, how did you get an internship at staple? Are they looking for more. I was thinking about doing the same.

Back in 2004, when the Staple offices were in the back of Reed Space I strolled up and dropped a resume off, and I got called back. I started counting t-shirts and breaking down boxes, now I design and blog.
