The Staple Spring 2010 Delivery 2 tees are dropping at your local Staple retailer as well as Reed Space now! We continue the theme of “EconMajor” for the 2nd drop. It’s funny, when I was conceiving of this collection, I thought, “Well what if the economy turns around and it becomes all good by the time this collection drops? Then it won’t make much sense.” But then I figured, eh what the heck, it’ll be a win-win. Either the economy is shit and these graphics really ring true…or…the economy is great and you’ll have some extra loot to buy these tees! I feel like it’s somewhere in the middle right now. Definitely on its way back up. Anyway, in addition, we got some classic logo graphics as well. Enjoy!
今回の出荷分も引き続き “EconMajor（経済学）”のテーマになっています。このコレクションを検討していた時に「これがリリースされる時期に経済が回復して状況が良くなっていたらどうしよう。そしたらやる意味がなくなってしまう。」と思っていました。でも、「ま、いいか。どちらに転んでも面白いでしょ。」という結論に至りました。経済が最悪だった場合、これらのグラフィックは真実を語っていることになり、逆に経済が絶好調だった時はこのTシャツを買う余裕ができます！現状はこの中間あたりではないかと感じています。確実に回復へ向かっていると。これに加えてクラッシックなロゴのグラフィックもありますよ。Enjoy!

Is this a Chi-town favorite or a Wall St favorite? Both. Bull vs. Bear market. これはシカゴの有名チーム？それともウォール街の有名用語？両方です。ブル対ベアマーケット。

Like Common said, “Before you count your papers, count your blessings.” Nice little hit on the back of this tee as well. Commonが言っていたように、”Before you count your papers, count your blessings.（お札を数える前に、幸福と思えることを数えよう）” ちょっとしたバックプリントも注目。

This was a classic tee from back in the day that needed to come back for this particular collection. It’s all about the Benjamins…これは一昔前にやったグラフィックですが、このコレクションのためにカムバックする必要がありました。It’s all about the Benjamins…（＄１００札がすべて）

But let’s face it; the US Dollar is getting ass-whooped around the word. So we needed to represent on some other currencies. しょうがない、USドルが世界でとっても弱くなっていることは認めなければ。なのでそれ以外の外貨も取り上げてみました。

EASY MONEY.
Inspired from an old album by Eddie “Money”…this tee is a crowd favorite. The back of the tee reads “Hard Times” in a tiny little 12 pt. font. EASY MONEY–>HARD TIMES. Eddie “Money” のアルバムよりインスパイアされたグラフィック。これは好評でした。バックプリントには小さな12ptのフォントで”Hard Times”。EASY MONEY （楽勝マネー）→HARD TIMES（厳しい時代）。

Every once in a while, Dan The Automator and myself sit down and share some good food and good conversation. Dan always has some kooky ideas…but every once in a while, one of em sticks. Dan did the concept, Staple did the execution. I think he heard this one night while up watching QVC…haha. Dan The Automatorとは時折会って食事したり情報交換をしています。Danはいつも変わったアイディアを思いつくのですが、いくつかのうちの１つが頭から離れなくなったりします。Danがコンセプトを考案し、Stapleがそれを実行しました。きっと彼は深夜の通販番組を見ていた時にこれを思いついたんでしょう。笑

For the typography heads reading this…I’m not even gonna bother trying to explain the many levels this tee hits on. If you get it, you get it. If you don’t, just skip this and continue. We’ll prob sell like 18 pieces of these. But I love it. タイポグラフィー好きな人が読んでいたら…このグラフィックにどれほどの意味や想いがあるのかは説明しません。分かる人には分かります。分からない人はこれをとばして次に行って下さい。これは多分１８枚くらいしか売れないと思いますが、僕は大好きです。
