West Hollywood view from the new Soho House in LA. (I like how I appear to be a looming evil ghost over all of LA.) I guess it’s true that the members only club has axed over 500 members to try and maintain the quality, cuz when I was there, you could hear crickets! It was dead empty. (Which is just the way I like it.)
ロスにあるSoho Houseからウェストハリーウッドの景色。(ロスの上に浮かび上がる邪悪な幽霊のように僕がかすかに見えるのが好きです。) 質を保つために、この会員制クラブが500人の会員を退会させた噂は本当だったようです。だって、僕がいた時、コウロギの鳴き声が聞こえるくらい、ガラガラでした。（僕はそっちのほうが好きですが。）
Does anyone out there know how Oakley, the eyewear giant, got its start? That’s right…as a grip company! Founder Jim Jannard felt it was too hard to brand his company on the grips. And the straps on rider goggles were prime real estate. So it was time to make goggles! And the rest is history… For Oakley’s 35th anniversary this year, they are re-releasing the grips for the first time. (Coming this summer.) Hmmm…Oakley is 35. I’m 35. We’re both born in 1975. I think this calls for a celebration.

Had to head out to Koln, Germany for a couple of days to take care of some meetings. First time in this city. I had to check out the Cologne Cathedral in all it’s glory. I also stayed in one the most unique hotels I’ve ever experienced: Hotel im Wasserturm. It’s an old water tower that’s been converted into a luxury hotel. Very odd to sleep in a place that used to be completely underwater. As you can imagine, it’s extremely quiet because it’s totally water tight. Thanks to the Tanked guys for the great hospitality & good times!
会議のために数日間ドイツのケルンに行ってきました。初めての滞在でした。栄光のケルン大聖堂に訪れずにはいられませんでした。また、今まで経験したことのないユニークなホテルにも泊まりました：Hotel im Wasserturm。古い給水塔を豪華なホテルに改装されたところです。かつては浸水していたところに寝泊りするのがとても不思議でした。想像通り、完璧に防水防音なのでとても静かでした。楽しい時間と親切なおもてなしをしてくれたTankedの皆に感謝です！
