These landed on my desk recently and I’m rocking the hell out of them! Can’t take them off! Not sure what the story is behind these but they’re New Balance 1300 JPs in Steel Blue/Oyster. Notably, they’re made in the United States. And even more interesting is the Vibram outsole, which makes these super stable and comfy.

Hey Jeff,
It’s cool that people give you stuff and you want to thank them for that and spread the word about the stuff.
I like reading your blog. You’re pretty inspiring. It’s pretty lame though when the most interesting thing about a shoe is “a vibram outsole that makes these super stable and comfy”.
Sorry about the negative vibes. I expect more of you than simple product pushing.

Hey Jeff,
the story behind this shoe is that it is the OG-CW of the 1300. NB releases every 5 years the OG-version which is very popular in Japan. In 2010 first time 35 Pairs in complete made their way to germany so this year was my turn and i copped me a pair. The 180,00 Euros retailprice is a hard one but besides the vibram outsole the mesh (on the toebox) an the heelcap have been produced only for this production run. Another aspect is that they are made in the US. I like the US 1300´s very much (for example the Rivington Club Collabo)! Nice to see that a Icon also got his pair! cheers!
These are an exact remake of the OG 1300′s. They changed the silhouette a few times after awhile. But these are the OG’s. Vibram used to make the soles for all New Balance product back in the day i heard.
