It’s no secret that I am not much of a reader. But I wanted get an audiobook in preparation for the drive down to Miami. I heard audiobooks are great way to pass the time and keep your mind focused while on these long drives. I decided to try Andre Agassi’s recent autobiography, OPEN. I cannot overemphasize how incredible this book is. It is so good. Agassi is honest, direct and at times, hilarious. I will say that maybe I am slightly biased. I was a ranked tennis player in the Junior USTAs. I was a rabid tennis fan and an equally rabid Agassi fan. So lots of the stories he reminisces on pertain to me and also take me back to my youth. If you’re not really a tennis fan, I’m not sure if it would have the same effect. But anyway, this is highly recommended.

I just finished this book the other day after 2 days and I am no longer much a reader as well. He was my hero as a kid too as well. Had his tennis racket, nike bag, nike shorts, etc. Tt was amazing and I am going to write a review on it. But beyond the fact that I adored this man as a child the book is great insight into a torn man. His inner demons and struggles to be a champion from tennis to his personal life and everything else.
