The Homeland Security task force is to recommend whether to keep, revise or scrap the color-coded terrorism alert system that has been in effect since 2002, months after 9/11. I personally always found this system really dated and somehow Twilight Zoney…like something from a 1970s science fiction drama.
The New York Times recently asked 4 graphic designers to try their hand at rethinking the alerts.
