So while catching up with friends and checking out the awesome sights of SF was fun…The main purpose of my trip was to attend a special charity event for The Wheelchair Foundation called “Martell for Mobility”. The Wheelchair Foundation is a nonprofit organization leading an international effort to create awareness of the needs of people with physical disabilities, to promote delivering a wheelchair to every child, teen and adult in the world who needs one, but cannot afford one. It’s a simple solution. Giving a handicapped person a wheelchair not only gives that person freedom, but also provides relief for their entire family. The kicker? It only costs about $150 per wheelchair.
The fundrasier was held in Danville, CA at the amazing Blackhawk Estate and Automobile Museum.
友人との久しぶりの再会やサンフランシスコのすばらしい観光地を訪れたりしたのは楽しかったが．．．この旅の最大の目的はThe Wheelchair Foundationの「Martell for Mobility」という特別チャリティーイベントに出席する為でした。The Wheelchair Foundationは車椅子が必要だけど経済的な理由で手に入らない子供、若者、大人、全ての人たちに提供し、国際的な活動を先導する非営利団体です。それはとても簡単な活動です。車椅子を提供すると乗る人の自由を与えるだけでなく、その家族にも負担が軽減されます。しかも、車椅子は一台がたったの１５０ドル。
ファンドレイザーはカルフォルニアのダンビルにある、美しいBlackhawk Estate and Automobile Museumで行われました。
Here are some shots of the amazing pieces of automotive art on display. These machines are truly inspiring. The shit these guys were coming up with decades ago was so ahead of their time. こちらが展示されていたすばらしい車アートの写真です。これらのマシンは本当にインスピレーションを与えてくれます。何十年も前に考えられた車は、時代を先取りしていました。
