    Dopplr was the best startup of 2007 for me and they continue to amaze with a clear product.

    Unfortunately they’ve been bought by Nokia (http://bit.ly/3BnepG). To make things even worse, there are rumours that Nokia was just interested in the people working there and trying to sell of the site (http://bit.ly/4sncyQ), which is even for Nokia surprising. The Finns do have a great reputation as a handset manufacturer, by they do have a horrible history with acquiring and using startups.

    It’s really tragic, actually. I’m still in love with Dopplr, because there is seldom a web application that is done so beautfully and is at the same time very usable. My feltronian me needs Dopplr. ,)
