It’s been a CONDENSED couple of weeks of amazing live music. Recaps to follow. But first up was All Points West in Liberty State Park and mainly, Jay-Z headlining the show. Tickets came courtesy of my old friend Peter Oasis from Live-N-Direct. And another old friend, DJ Neil Armstrong was backing up the Roc Boys on stage tonight. Jay replaced The Beastie Boys last minute due to MCA’s medical condition. But the class act Jay always is, he started with a tribute to them before he rocked his own songs. NYC has recently been more like Seattle with crazy thunderstorms all the time. So APW felt like Woodstock (muddy as a mofo), but with the NYC skyline and The Statue of Liberty serving as a backdrop, the clouds cleared for Mr. Carter…
最高のライブミュージックを聴くことができた濃厚な数週間でした。それについて後ほどブログアップします。まず最初に、Liberty State Parkで行われたAll Points WestでJay-Zがヘッドラインしたコンサート。チケットは僕の古くからの友人、Live-N-DirectのPeter Oasisのおかげで手に入りました。そして、もう一人の友人、DJ Neil Armstrongがこの夜Roc Boysをバックアップしました。急遽The Beastie BoysのMCAの健康状態により、Jayが代行する事に。でも、Jayはいつものようにかっこよく、自分の歌の前に、彼らの歌をトリビュートしました。ニューヨークでは、最近シアトルのように強烈な嵐が多く発生します。なので、APWはまるでWoodstockのようでしたが（泥まみれ）、ニューヨークの夜景と自由の女神が背景に、Mr. Carterのために雲はなくなり．．．

Back in the late 90s, I designed the 5th Platoon logo for them and we did lots of early projects like tees and mixtapes. TAPES. Not CDs…haha…shows our age. Props to Neil for staying true, hardworking and humble.
