CAPSULE PARIS.

A trip wouldn’t be a trip for me if work wasn’t involved, right? The reason for my Paris visit was really all about the Capsule Show.
僕にとって、仕事が絡まない旅は旅ではない。このパリへの旅は本当はCapsule Showのためでした。
Those in the industry really need to understand that Capsule is a tradeshow unlike any other. The brands are hand selected and curated. The buyers are as well. At the same time, it is not overly elitist and pretentious. The girls over at BPMW (the parent company of Capsule) have struck just the right balance between being selective and welcoming. It wasn’t just French buyers either. Accounts from all the world came by for a visit and our new Spring Summer 2010 Collection went over really well (I hope.) You never know for sure though. I’ve never had someone come up to me and say, “your collection is really weak this year. What happened?” So maybe people are just being nice.
この業界にいる人たちはCapsuleが他のトレードショーとまったく違うことを理解しなければいけないと思います。ブランドは厳選され、監督されています。バイヤーもそう。同時に、エリート思考過ぎず、見栄っ張りでもない。BPMW（Capsuleの親会社）の女の子達も選び抜かれているが、ちょうどいいくらいの親しみやすさでした。フランス人バイヤー達だけではありませんでした。世界中の顧客が僕達の新しい2010春夏コレクションを見に来てくれて、大成功でした（そう願っています）。でもいつも半信半疑です。「今年のコレクションは凄くさえない。どうしたの？」と面と向かって言われてことないので。みんな優しくしてくれているのかもしれません。

Capsule was held in this beautiful complex. Capsuleは美しい建物で行われました。

I don’t recall MAGIC in Las Vegas having an outdoor garden that resembled this. ラスベガスのMAGICではこのような中庭がある覚えはないな。

Baron Davis in the house! Yo, I think I can take him…Baron Davis in the house!　彼をやっつけることができると思う．．．

    Baron D…he has got a pretty good sneaker collection….he was B- Garcia ESPN show.

    baron has really trimmed down yo! that dude looks like a skinny ass in that picture. he always had a bit of baby fat on him when he was in his prime though.
