NIGHT JOB.


This semester, I have been given the opportunity to teach a course at the Columbia Business School Executive MBA Program. It’s a huge honor! The course is called “Design & Marketing of Luxury”. The course is actually sponsored by Louis Vuitton, Hermes, Dior, Cartier, Luxottica and Lalique. The students are a mix of CBS and Parsons design students. So these guys get a real life experience. Business and Marketing people working side by side with Design students…and doing real projects for real clients. The final critiques are given by CEOs of these luxury companies! It’s an amazing experience for me. Even though the commute sucks from Lower East Side to Columbia, it’s awesome. It helps that the campus is also stunningly beautiful.
今学期、僕はColombia Business SchoolのExecutive MBAプログラムでコースを教える機会をいただきました。とても光栄です！コースの名前は「ラグジュアリーのデザインとマーケティング」。実はこのコースはLouis Vuitton、Dior、Cartier、Luxottica、Laliqueがスポンサーを務めています。生徒たちもCBSとParsonsのデザイン学科の生徒たちのミックスで、社会の本物の体験をします。ビジネスやマーケティングの人たちがデザイン学科の生徒たちと隣りあわせで本当のクライアントのために本物のプロジェクトをします。最終的な批評はこれらのブランド企業のCEOがします！僕にとっても最高の経験です。Lower East SideからColombiaまでの通勤だけは最悪ですが、それ以外は最高です。キャンパスがすばらしく美しいのもプラスです。

    Hi Jeff,

    I just want to start by saying I am a huge fan of you work, and most importantly a fan of your life and accomplishments. I just want you to know it is an inspiration reading your blog and following you on twitter. When I found out you were teaching I said to myself this is a man who has it all. You may not be super rich or insanely famous, but you have your work, your company, minds to mold, and most importantly you don’t work to live, but you live to work. I have past you many times in LES and have been too in awe to say wassup, but I just want you to know you give me hope, and the world is a cooler place because of you.
