Just some things I want to clarify regarding the Converse Pigeons that were recently leaked. They will actually come out in February. 2/7/09 is the intended drop date right now. Colette, Reed Space and other top tier accounts worldwide will get it. Ask your local shop for details. MSRP is $100. Not trying to gouge people…

In other footwear related news, press has gotten out that we are embarking on a multi-year large scale project with Airwalk which will be exclusively sold at Payless stores. Yes it’s true…but as most of you guys know who read this, I hate early drops of information. Especially on shit that you won’t see for another year! I like the Steve Jobs methodology. When he says its here, you can go buy it THAT DAY. But Payless is juuust a bit bigger than Staple so they have their way — and we have ours. Hopefully, we can infect them with some of our mindstate. So in about 300 days, you’ll see the fruits of our labor with the Airwalk guys. But I must say working with these people have been just awesome. Well, since its leaked anyway, here’s some snapshots from recent R+D meetings.

Airwalk and Payless?? Anyway, could you speak on the Lacoste x Shoes Up release? I called Reed Space and the guy I spoke to said they don’t sell Lacoste, but I’ve been reading that Reed Space will be releasing this collab.

Heard that you have put together a Collective Brand/Airwalk/Staple collection. Congrats to you and your team! It’s great to hear that you will have even greater exposure and access to kids all over this great country. My son will be 6 next year and he will be all over them-he is fascinated with watching kids boarding in Brooklyn.
who cares about the limited exclusiveness of all the Nike crap……..the fact that a business like Staple is working with business like Payless/Airwalk……should be a sign of great things to come in many other sectors. I’m excited.

Am I the only one that is skeptical here? Oscilloscope is the Beastie Boys company. Those airwalks look old, janky, and WORN! Look at the scuffs!
