Tretorn just dropped these winter/holiday kicks. Nice and simple with some great details. I love the 3M reflective layer under the mesh and the pop color crepe outsole.

I have a pair of nike- the name of the shoe is drawing a blank. The same exact sole on these but black, I did two months of chicago winter with salt, sand, and S#!&. Sad to say but there is no tread left in the heel or footbed. Hence rendering them useless for any further snow stomping.
jeffstaple that brings up some issues I have with shoes. Everyday people gotta put shoes on and a lot of shoe makers really could pick better composites and what not to at the very least help the shoe last one year. Is that to much to ask. Since your deep into the shoe game maybe you can enlighten your followers….
Big companies have a term called BUILT-IN OBSOLESCENCE. Imagine if every shoe a brand makes lasts 10 years instead of 1. Think of what that will do to sales. It’s a sad fact but it is true. It does not behoove a brand to make long lasting product. That goes for any Consumer Goods Product. Cars, Computers, hell even food. I heard expiration dates on most food items are way too short. Just to get the customer to throw it out and buy another one.
thanks jeffstaple-
I thought that was commonplace, but never really believed it. You are right that is sad, but i see why it has to be the way it is. I think my phone has a BUILT-IN OBSOLESCENCE of six weeks.
Thanks for the response and insight on something that affects all consumers.
