The new Google G1 phone looks very promising. I mean, the iPhone is great, bur let’s face it. There are 2 glaring facts. 1) All my peers who have the iPhone agree they were MORE productive and efficient with their previous device. and 2) AT&T sucks like Satan himself. Which means there is a big gaping hole that a halfway decent running back can smash through. And Google isn’t some rookie. They have a pretty darn good track record. Hence, this could be very interesting. Some stats:
Set to launch on October 22nd for $179 on T-Mobile in the US on a two-year contract ($399 no contract). November for some parts of Europe.

hey jeff didn’t you just finish a post on spelling?
What the hell is “funnerer, connecterer, and smarterer”?
well I guess the only problem with all the “smart”phones including G1 is that they all appear too corporately boring, too techy too geeky. I for one am all for the sleek iPhone but nonetheless there is much to be improved for the iPhone as well +)
Jeff-
I agree that the iphone sucks and at&t sucks even more. the problem is once you have one of these "super-phones" there is no going back. I miss the days of cell phones just being cell phones. The one thing that the G! capped on is the analog keyboard. after trying to type on the digital interface I get it now and understand why companies are still making phones with analog keypads. regardless iphone now has competition which is great, because maybe just maybe they will fix most of the wrongs with the iphone to stay competitive in this market.
