I just saw Benson Lee’s Planet B-Boy documentary. It’s a really well done film that will be enjoyed both by hip-hop fans and non hip-hop fans. That’s always the hallmark of a great documentary. How do you make a doc that captures the interest of people who are not inherently interested in your subject matter? Benson did it. On a side note, Benson asked me about a year ago to design the logo and creative treatment for Planet B-Boy. I had to turn down the job because we were too busy. But I wish we could have done it…especially after seeing the great outcome.
Benson Lee氏のPlanet B-Boyのドキュメンタリーを見ました。ヒップホップファンもそうでない方にも楽しめるよう、よく出来ています。それが、最高のドキュメンタリーの特質ですよね。どうやってその題材に興味のない人々の興味をそそらせるか？Benson氏はやりました。それとは別に、一年前Benson氏は僕にPlanet B-Boyのロゴのデザインとクリエーティブ・トリートメントを依頼されたけど、忙しすぎてお断りをしなくてはならなかった。でも、やりたかったな。。。こんないい結果を見たらなおさら。
