Its funny how the world works. I met Coleman Horn about a year ago at MAGIC. We shared a client. His company was doing the product development and we were doing the identity design. When we met with the client, Coleman was like “Don’t you do Staple Design?” And I was like, “you founded Medium Footwear?!” (Medium was always one footwear brand I had my eye on. Really loved their take on footwear design.) So we both clicked and got a long right away. Fast forward a year and Coleman is out of Medium and is back in the kitchen creating some new footwear designs. Glad to see it too because from what I can see, he has something really different and interesting: VAEL PROJECT.
Imagine if Timberland and Arcteryx had a love child. It might look like this.

coleman’s a cool cat. i remember him starting up Medium in his place in Oakland back a few years ago. Medium’s are definitely the best dress shoes i have. Good to see him back at it.
I’m curious to know why you suddenly made your blog bilingual. I must say the translation is really good. English-Japanese translation is a difficult one.
