Recently we had to creative direct a video shoot for a client of ours. This was one of the most stressful things I’ve had to do in my life. Especially as Creative Director; its important you act as the calm in the storm. Normally, if I’m stressed, I can release some of that but it’s much harder when you have to bottle it all in. It got so bad, blood came pouring out of left eye. It was gross. That’s when I had to wave the white flag and bounce.
The following day, the tables were turned on me and I was the subject of a video shoot. It was for the documentary Jordan Heads that is about to come out.
Yes, Satchel of Gravel (PKA, Don’t Believe The Hypebeast) they asked me about sneakers again. I was recently blasted on this site (the US Weekly of Streetwear) about how I always talk about sneakers. I half agree with their commentary, but honestly, I can really only answer the questions that are posed to me. If someone asks me “What’s your favorite sneaker of all time?”; I’m not gonna answer, “Let’s talk about the election instead!”
