After 96 hours in Tokyo, then back to NY for 24 hours…i hop back onto a plane for a quick 1 hour flight to visit the headquarters of Burton Snowboards in Burlington, Vermont. While a 1 hour flight doesn’t sound bad, its the hassles of air travel that makes it still suck. Door to door, you’re still talking about a 4 hour journey.
Anyway, Burton and Staple have been working together in some capacity or another for over 7 years. Its a great relationship fostered by a simple passion for making dope snowboard gear and equipment. It’s awesome to be able to design something; then actually ride in it a year later. In 2007, we embark on new project that I am LITERALLY drooling over. But the guys at Burton work so far in the future (we are FINISHING Winter 2009 now!) that a leak would really suck for everyone involved. So mums the word for now but set your watches for Winter 08-09.
